What Is the Umuguzi Social Affiliate Programme?The Umuguzi Social Affiliate Programme allows you to earn cash rewards by inviting new users to join our platform. When someone signs up using your unique referral link or code, and they become an active user, you earn a commission.Why join?Earn money while helping grow a Rwandan social platform.No limit – refer as many friends, family, or customers as you want.Payouts directly to Mobile Money (MTN or Airtel) or bank account.2. Who Can Join?You must have an active Umuguzi Social account in good standing (not banned or suspended).You must be at least 16 years old.You cannot refer yourself or create fake accounts to earn commissions (this is fraud).Users from all 30 districts of Rwanda are welcome – we also accept affiliates outside Rwanda, but payouts will be in RWF and may incur transfer fees.3. How It WorksStep Action1 Log in to your Umuguzi Social account.2 Go to Affiliate Dashboard (accessible from your profile menu).3 Copy your unique referral link or share your referral code.4 Share the link via WhatsApp, Facebook, SMS, email, or word‑of‑mouth.5 When someone clicks your link, creates an account, and meets the active user criteria, you earn a commission.6 Track your earnings in real time.7 Request payout once you reach the minimum threshold.4. Commission StructureWe currently offer:Referral Type Commission (RWF) ConditionStandard user (posts, profile, friend) 500 RWF User completes registration and logs in at least 3 times within 30 days.Verified seller (lists at least 1 product) 1,000 RWF User posts at least one valid product listing within 14 days of joining.Active group creator 1,500 RWF User creates a group with at least 10 members within 30 days.Note: Only one commission per referred user – the highest applicable tier is paid.Bonus tiers (monthly):Refer 10+ users in a month → extra 1,000 RWFRefer 50+ users in a month → extra 5,000 RWFCommissions are paid in Rwandan Francs (RWF).5. What Is an “Active User”?A referred user is considered active and eligible for commission when they:Have a confirmed email or phone number.Logged in at least 3 different days within the first 30 days.Have not been flagged as a bot, fake account, or duplicate.No commission is paid for users who never log in or whose accounts are deleted within the first 7 days.6. How to Request PayoutsMinimum payout: 5,000 RWFMaximum payout per request: 50,000 RWF (multiple requests allowed)Payment methods:MTN Mobile MoneyAirtel MoneyBank transfer (Rwandan bank account – additional 1,000 RWF fee may apply)Processing time: Payouts are sent within 7 business days after your request is approved.7. Prohibited Actions (Fraud & Abuse)You may not:Create fake accounts or use bots to generate referrals.Spam random users with your referral link (e.g., on other platforms’ comment sections).Post your link on illegal or hateful content.Mislead people about what Umuguzi Social offers.Offer cash or gifts to people in exchange for using your link (this is incentivized fraud).Consequences:If we detect fraud, we will:Forfeit all unpaid commissions.Permanently ban you from the Affiliate Programme.Suspend or delete your Umuguzi Social account.We actively monitor referral patterns – play fair.8. Tracking & AttributionWe use cookies and unique links to track referrals.If a user clicks your link but doesn’t sign up immediately, the cookie lasts 30 days. If they sign up within that period, you still get credit.If a user clicks multiple affiliates’ links, the last click before signup gets credit.We provide a dashboard showing clicks, signups, and pending commissions.9. TaxesAffiliates are responsible for any taxes applicable to their earnings under Rwandan law. Umuguzi Social does not withhold taxes; you must declare income to RRA (Rwanda Revenue Authority) if required.10. Changes to the Affiliate ProgrammeWe may update commission rates, payout thresholds, or other terms at any time. We will notify you via email or a site announcement. Continued participation means you accept the changes.11. Limitation of LiabilityUmuguzi Social is not responsible for:Lost earnings due to technical issues or incorrect referrals.Disputes between affiliates.Changes in the programme that affect future earnings.Our total liability to any affiliate is limited to the unpaid commissions actually earned.12. Termination of ParticipationYou may cancel your affiliate participation at any time via dashboard.We may suspend or terminate your participation immediately if you violate these terms. Upon termination, unpaid commissions that are legitimate (not fraudulent) will be paid out once.13.
